Owen woke up on six hours of sleep and went through the usual morning routine — gym, shower, teeth, Duolingo. Worked remotely from 9 AM. Coordinated with Dad to pick him up from Walnut at the same time as the day before. Spent a chunk of the day applying to jobs, with confirmation emails rolling in from Stripe, Bloomerang, and Astrana Health, plus a follow-up from Upstart and an outreach from Dice. The bigger development: Kelsey Gibree at Bloomerang sent an interview request and scheduled a 25-minute screen for Tuesday June 9 at noon ET, with a corresponding BrightHire prep email. Owen and Daniel locked in plans to watch a game starting at 8:30 PM — first half at Daniel's parents' place in Hillside (so Daniel could squeeze in a work meeting), second half at a sports bar in Elizabeth. Owen pushed back on Daniel's suggested spot ("we can do better than the one around the corner") and they agreed to try somewhere new. Owen planned to leave around 8 and brought Michaela along. Daniel warned him to avoid talking to his weird roommate. Earlier, Owen was watching TV with his dad while Michaela hung out with his mom and waited for Mags and Arian to get back. They debated whether to walk Timber over but his mom said the house was about to be a zoo. Owen ended up picking Michaela up — including her purse and jeans — on the way out. Elvis sent a string of messages about a card with a Subway address in Clearwater, warning Owen to check that it wasn't resealed. Danielle changed the Netflix password to "timegoesby" after someone renamed her profile to Nina. Knocked out a backlog of car maintenance reminders (interior surfaces, windshield, floormats) and finally cleaned dust out of the home servers. Ate heavily — four Ballpark Franks at lunch alongside salmon and ground beef, then ground beef tacos with cheese and Doritos for dinner, totaling about 1,928 kcal. A Bank of America alert flagged a credit card transaction over his set limit, and a $6.50 Amazon charge hit the Chase card after an 8K HDMI cable order.
