Today we woke up and went to work. I called AT&T and arranged for a tech to come help set up the internet because I couldn’t find the fiber jack. For my morning meeting I decided to go to the communal work area because our internet hadn’t been set up yet. An hour before my next meeting the AT&T guy says he can come early. So he arrives and unscrews a panel the bedroom closet. This confuses me because I was under the impression that the fiber jack couldn’t be behind there due to the fact that wires would have to come out of the panel but there were no slots. The AT&T guy showed me the intended set up would be that the panel wouldn’t be flush and wires would just stick out. Then my meeting is supposed to start but he’s doing some company-mandated tests of my connection so I have to go on the patio, the only place I can get a semblance of a cellphone signal to join the meeting. He said I couldn’t retreat back to the communal work area because he wasn’t allowed to be in my home alone.

Towards the end of work I drove to Ft. Lauderdale and met a very nice man I knew from Facebook marketplace who was working at a warehouse. He was selling office chairs that retailed for $1200 new for $160. I bought one and I’m excited to use it once I have a desk. Then I picked up Michaela, we said our goodbyes to Rick and Jamee, and then we went home. We checked out the pool, it was relatively cold and overcast so that didn’t last long. We tested out the fire pit. It didn’t seem to work, maybe due to the rain. Then we drove to the library, charged my car for free while we walked to go eat at Mizner. There was a Mexican place doing half off tacos and they were super good. Then we drove home and now we plan to go to bed soon. Big day of putting together furniture tomorrow which I’m kinda dreading.
